IN HOME TRAINING

BODY GO is an "in home" personal training company located in Toronto. No need to leave the comfort of your own home to workout. I'll bring the workout to you. After spending many years working out in a commercial club myself, I came to realize that a home gym had considerable benefits. I had grown weary of the social character of fitness clubs, the constant annoyance of the sales pitch and the burden of crowds. I had also come to the conclusion that I was not alone. There are many like-minded people who want to get in shape, but who don't want to join a gym to do so. Now you don't have to!!! BODY GO comes to you and you can realize your fitness goals without ever leaving the comfort of your own home.

BODY GO is also here to help you through the difficult process of rehabilitation. Whether you have suffered a musculoskeletal injury or are recovering from a protracted illness, a targeted training program will help you get to where you want to be safer and faster. My name is Lance Donnelly, owner and trainer at BODY GO. TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

Since I completed my personal trainer qualification in 1996 I have encouraged 5 basic principles of an active and healthy lifestyle: Cardiovascular exercise, weight lifting, stretching, good nutrition and consistency. Incorporation of these five factors into our daily lifestyle can help us become stronger, healthier and happier, even as we age.

As we grow older, the tissues around our joints tend to thicken. Steps should be taken to prevent them from growing tighter and more restricted. Stretching helps combat these tendencies. Most of my clientele are between the ages of 40 to 70 and for them to be able to maintain all the things they want to do requires being able to move easily and without pain. Mobility is paramount!!! It is a fundamental concern for all individuals and it is the attention to this concern that my clients appreciate the most. I also adhere to the practice of starting easy and progressing slowly, having first determined how your body deals with the added stress of exercise.


PRO-TRAINING

The first thing you can expect from me is my professionalism. I don't let personal issues interfere with your workout and I am the same upbeat person day after day, year after year. I will treat you with respect and keep you within your physical limitations to reduce the potential for injury. You will also find that I am extremely reliable. I rarely cancel sessions and I am always on time.

I build in buffer zones, at my own expense, to allow extra time for clients when needed. Certain clients just need more time. When you enter someone’s home there is a personal element that cannot be ignored. For some it’s right down to business for others the approach is more relaxed. Rushing clients to maintain my schedule is not my preference so I include a sufficient amount of time between appointments. This goes hand in hand with being flexible. Most of my clients work in demanding jobs or have come to their retirement years. Either way, not everyone can make every workout. I work with the client to develop a clear understanding of what can be expected regarding cancellations and holidays. You will find I am very flexible in regards to schedule changes.
