TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
Five Basic Principles
I encourage 5 basic principles of an active and healthy lifestyle: Cardiovascular exercise, weight lifting, stretching, good nutrition and consistency. Incorporation of these five factors into our daily lifestyle can help us become stronger, healthier and happier.
As we age our bodies become tighter and more restricted. Stretching helps combat these tendencies. We all want to keeping doing all the things we love and this requires being able to move easily and without pain. Mobility is paramount!!! It is the attention to this concern that my clients appreciate the most. I also adhere to the practice of starting easy and progressing slowly, having first determined how your body deals with the added stress of exercise.
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE
Stay Injury Free
Over the years I have aged right alongside my clients. I have become quite understanding and knowledgeable about the effects aging. So I'm here to tell you it's NEVER too late to start an exercise program. You'll be amazed how much better you'll feel and how quick your body will respond to proper movement. A little bit of patience from me and a solid commitment from you can go a very long way.
The only way to keep the body injury free and strong is to do weight based exercise, stretching and a healthy amount of cardio for your heart. The beginning of your retirement can bring added travel which you should be ready for. Many of my older clients are very proud they can still out the bag in the overhead bin. Start today.
